The Woman’s Club also hosts its annual Heritage Quilt Show, which runs from June 26-July 5^th and will feature an apple-themed quilt at Julian's Town Hall.

 

Fourth of July Parade

For a truly all-American old-fashioned celebration in July, the Fourth of July Parade is a wonderful experience for all ages. Stand side by side with local residents who wave to friends and neighbors astride horses, driving antique cars, and riding aboard fire engines from the region. One special float will feature past Apple Day Queens as well as the reigning Mr. and Mrs. Apple Days, Ray Meyers.

 

Julian Starfest

August 20-23, 2009 at Menghini Winery

August is a great time in Julian to enjoy the outdoors. The 2^nd Annual Starfest will be held during the dark of moon in August at Menghini Winery. One of the on-site events will include an apple press to entertain visitors during the daytime and demonstrate the beginning of the apple harvest.

 

Grape Stomp Festa

The Julian Chamber of Commerce celebrates the harvest of the grapes with a real, Olde-world style grape stomp Festa at the Menghini Winery on September 5th.

 

39th Annual Bluegrass Festival

The Julian Lion’s Club holds its 39^th Annual Bluegrass Festival at Frank Lane Park in town, the oldest Bluegrass Festival in California, from September 19-20th.

 

Julian Art, Music & Wine Festival

Menghini Winery hosts the Julian Art Guild Annual Arts, Wine & Music Festival

on September 26-27^th featuring local artists working in glass, clay, wood,

painting and more.

 

Old Time Melodrama

The Triangle Club performs its annual Olio every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Town Hall in October and will incorporate an apple theme in its production.

 

Julian Apple Days Festival

Apple Days also begins on September 8^th with an apple display in Town Hall, recreating the first Apple Days celebration in 1909.

Julian Artists Open Studios Tour

Julian Country Christmas & Tree Lighting Celebration

 In the Pioneer Museum Park on Saturday, November . This annual event features a visit from Santa Claus and marks the beginning of the annual Julian Country Christmas celebration—three weeks of holiday festivity during which visitors and residents can capture the spirit of the season in an old-fashioned way.   December is a magical time of year in Julian complete with wandering carolers, a living nativity scene, and a festive production of “A Christmas Carol” at Town Hall. Make reservations to enjoy Breakfast with Santa at Pine Hills Lodge on December 12th.
